Nanotechnology in India

In the recently organized World Nano Economic Congress by Cientifica, Yashnanotech and CII, it was clearly visible that Indian institutes have progressed in nanotechnology research. It was more heartening to see the enthusiasm among the young entrepreneurs either with an established setup or looking for setting up one. Consumer product major like Godrej has been working on nanotechnology, which is foreseen to impact larger segment of the market. The highlight of the conference was, a company from Iran exhibiting nanomaterials produced at commercial scale. It is the right time for the Indian industry to harness the research work done in our institutes and move forward to produce commercial level nanotechnology products.
